My initial connection with the area began in 1984 when I moved to Grendon. Ten years later in 1994, I moved to Wollaston. Both of my sons attended Wollaston School. In April 2007, I put my name forward for election to the Wollaston Parish Council, and was appointed to the Parish Council in May of that year. My main area of responsibility is the Wollaston Youth Project, and the focus of the project, is re-establishing a meeting place for children aged 13 to 17 in the village. Following a year of planning and development, the Oasis room in the Village Hall was the chosen venue, and The Base was established as the new Youth drop in centre.
